The Med Surg Unit Nursing Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of the over 4 units. The Med Surg Nursing Operations Coordinator will report directly to the Nursing Manager of Acute Care Medical Surgical and will be supported by Charge Nurses and over 70 skillful staff nurses. The Med Surg Unit Nursing Operations Coordinator will coordinate all functions in the unit/department, manage the team in order to provide quality individualized patient care to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric on the age continuum, and support of the Medical Center s Mission, Strategic Plan, and Goals and Objectives. The Med Surg Unit Nursing Operations Coordinator will support and maintain the budget that's prepared by unit leadership, by helping to manage labor and inventory control, serves as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports nursing research and assures patient advocacy.
